Great composition! Was this from "reality" or your imagination? Haven't seen pasture like this near the HWY in Texas.
This is lovely, I would love to be able to paint cows just like you did. I like the way you don't have too much detail yet they are cleary cows.
I've just discovered your blog, thanks for sharing your work and your thoughts!

Thanks guys!
I used a photo from wetcanvas.com to paint this.
I enjoyed painting the cows. I tried really hard not to think of them as cows and to just focus on placing dabs of color next to each other without trying to make it look like anything. Does that make sense?
Hi Brendy, this one is really loose, especially the cows. Good work.
Thanks!
Brendy, it's been a while since I visited your blog. I love this landscape. It has a wonderful soft and natural feel to it as if you had painted it plein air. I admire you doing the home schooling, I think that's fantastic but hope you still find time to fit some painting in!
A stunning bucolic vista...really lovely handling of sky and just enough of the barn and cows. Summer bliss.
Your art work is beautiful.
I've seen this scene everywhere. You just nailed it. Love it!
Hi Brendy, greetings from Australia. I like your paintings, this one especially, and also The Reaching Tree. I particularly like the warmth of your greens. Is that 'sap green' that you use?
